find space

“Adults follow paths. Children explore. Adults are content to walk the same way, hundreds of times, or thousands; perhaps it never occurs to adults to step off the paths, to creep beneath rhododendrons, to find the spaces between fences.”

I feel that’s what I am doing, when I am hunting down a house on the beache to try out “living by the sea”. I’m trying to find space where adults don’t look, space that adults mostly dare to dream about. trying hard to step off the paths. staying flexible requires a lot of work and determination.
